Over the past several weeks, our daily lives and routines have changed significantly. As we all adjust to days spent at home, Families First Learning Lab wants to serve as a resource to you and your family. We've created an online platform that focuses on the key areas of our mission including education, connection, play, and partnership. Through this online platform, we will share opportunities for caregivers to connect virtually to build support and remind us we are not alone. We also can't wait to share a variety of fun and interactive learning through play activities that children and families can do together!
We also recognize challenging times impact all members of the family. As adults, we find ourselves full of questions and uncertainty as to when things will return to “normal.” We know this is true for our children as well. Below are a few resources to help you talk to your children about COVID-19 as well as some tips to help with your own mental health and well-being. https://www.familiesfirstmt.org/covid19/covid-19-talking-to-your-kids https://www.livescience.com/coronavirus-kids-guide.html
We hope during this time of distance, we will continue to find ways to stay connected to our families, friends, and neighbors. We are here to offer our support and looking forward to connecting with you.
