Events

Families First Learning Lab has three signature events each year.
We work to provide affordable opportunities for the public to get involved with our work & enjoy the beauty that is family life.

Cabin Fever: Winter Event

Get Your Tracks in the Tundra!
Cabin Fever gives families the opportunity to get outside and enjoy a family-friendly activity in the middle of Winter! Held over a two week period, families will be able to enjoy this virtual event by socially distancing and enjoying snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and/or even just going out for a hike.

There will also be a snowman competition, snow angel contest, hot cocoa with an at-home family activity, and a raffle.

Imagination Day

Imagination Day celebrates the magic of play.
This event displays all our exhibits. These exhibits inspire hands-on exploration and play while focusing on building empathy & kindness, social-emotional development, cultural expression, and imaginative & dramatic play.

Imagination Day helps develop the crucial psychological and emotional capacities that help kids understand the world in which they live and their relation to it. Throughout this day, kids are learning to solve problems, create new possibilities, and even change the world.

Purpose & Possibilities

Purpose and Possibilities is an event celebrating our beautiful, yet sometimes messy, family lives.
Through an evening of storytelling, we will connect through family experiences - our shared ups and downs, laughter, tears, celebrations, connection, and perseverance.

Families First Learning Lab will be sharing a 27 year journey of serving Missoula families. We are excited to convey the purpose of our work and the possibilities that lie ahead! Join us for this night full of stories, good food, and great people.
