Family Cooking Classes
Our cooking classes bring families together in the kitchen by teaching children and adults lifelong cooking skills that can ignite creativity, build self-esteem, and most importantly create memories that will last forever. Check out our schedule of upcoming events to see when our next kids cooking class is happening! |
Kindergarten Readiness Summer Camp
Our Kindergarten Readiness Summer Camp serves kiddos ages 4-6 and focuses on enhancing kindergarten readiness. Summer camps work with children to enhance their social-emotional skills via learning through play. Each camp is specifically geared toward preschool and kindergarten success. By keeping each camp class size limited we are able to provide one on one support and engagement for each child. If you are interested in signing your kiddo up for camp or have questions, please email Katie. |
Family Fairy Activity Kits
While we LOVE getting to spend time with you and your family, we have realized a need for distanced programming. The Families First Fairy has been spreading fun all over Missoula and other Western Montana communities. These kits follow our Child Enrichment themes of Cultural Expression, Dramatic & Imaginative Play, Empathy & Kindness, and Social-Emotional Development. While children are able to engage in a fun, new activity, parents also receive tips on how to continue the conversation and strengthen the learning through play component of the kit. This also gives an opportunity for parent-child connection and relationship building through play. To receive a special visit or delivery from the Families First Fairy, please email Katie. |
Reading & Eating
Families First has partnered with the Missoula Food Bank and Community Center to offer free lunches and books to children during the summer. The Food Bank Kids Eat Free bus provides these sack lunches to underserved communities in Missoula, where we meet these groups with special guest readers that engage with kids for lunch and a story. Volunteers are available to help kids pick out FREE books to take home. This program helps address food insecurity and summer learning loss. If you want to support this program, please consider adding credit via monetary or book donation to the Book Exchange under the Families First account. We are always looking for gently used book donations and volunteers for this amazing program! Contact Families First for more information. |
