Our grant-funded, individualized therapeutic retreats are a three-day intensive family camping/cabin workshop to help your family get on track with communication, conflict resolution, and increased emotional safety through meaningful connections. Outdoor living activities, campfire talks, crafts, cooking, and games catered to your own family's needs and dynamics are facilitated by our staff who camps with you! Every activity offers insight into each family member's strengths and obstacles, along with those of the family as a system. Families reliably leave our trips with increased closeness, compassion for each other, renewed hope, and extensive clinical guidance related to next steps for ongoing wellness.
Trips are offered YEAR ROUND! Only one family goes at time, and "family" is best applied in the context of who lives in your household. Parents or guardians are responsible for their family's physical safety throughout the retreat, and we can offer support in navigating appropriate ages or abilities for your trip. We are happy to make recommendations for ideal locations, including ADA accessible locations. After completion of the retreat, we offer up to four sessions of follow-up parent coaching (at no cost). Lodging, food, daytime activities and logistical coordination for these trips are funded by our grant through the Montana Board of Crime Control for families in eligible parts of Missoula and Mineral County. Non grant-eligible families are welcomed to inquire about private pay trips. In both cases, up to six formal counseling sessions will occur throughout the trip, which are eligible for sliding-scale fees and often reimbursable by insurance. If you are ready for an adventure, please use the application link on this page, or contact our Family Retreat coordinator for more information: Clay Vernon (406) 721-7690 [email protected] |
