Family Fun Activities

April Showers

4/8/2020

Today’s project was all about “April Showers”. We did this activity as the rain patted down on our windows.
 Supplies:
1. clear glass container (like a cup)
2. food coloring
3. shaving cream
4. dropper (you can also use a spoon).
 DIRECTIONS
Fill your glass with water leaving about 1 to 2 inches.
Spray shaving cream in the glass, make sure it is a lot!
Next take your fill your dropper and let the fun begin.

Explain to your kiddos the water in the glass is air, the shaving cream is a cloud and the food coloring is the moisture. We tried making several different types of rain from a light drizzle to a massive downpour. Afterward we discussed what we learned.
Here is a great video of a local Missoulian, Jessie from Animal Wonders. We watched it while did our experiment.
