When you are a parent, self-care often slips to the bottom of this list of things to do. However, it is essential parents and caregivers are looking out for their own mental health. With the unexpected changes to our daily lives and stress being higher than ever, it is critical parents are taking the steps towards taking care of themselves. Some of these include:
1. Making time for yourself
2. Prioritizing healthy choices
3. Being Realistic
4. Set Boundaries
5. Reconnect with things you enjoy

Schools are closed and many parents are working from home without childcare for the indefinite future, it’s important for us to recognize how difficult this situation is. It may seem like time for self-care is non-existent. We are here to help.
Take a deep breath. Literally.
Join in on our yoga series for parents and families.
Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate (Mayo Clinic).
